Level 1 & 2 Online Umpire Modules Now Available
Ontario Baseball Association Online Umpire Modules are now available at playoba.ca. Hit the button below to learn more.

Registration for new and returning umpires is now open.  All certification is managed through our ONDeck application, available both as a mobile app and through a computer web browser. See the detailed instructions for your Level below.

To learn more about the umpire requirements and advancement, visit the Umpire Levels page on the OBA website.

NEW UMPIRES

Register at https://ondeck.baseballontario.com/baseball-ontario-ondeck/register

When creating your profile, select Level 1.1 as your role in the ONDeck system.  You will then have access to the Level 1 Getting Started online learning modules and will be able to select a locally hosted Umpire Camp to attend in person.  Completion of both the online and in-person components is required for certification in 2025.

TMBA umpires must attend an Umpire Camp that is held locally.  Please contact Michelle Barry at [email protected] for more information and what TMBA provides for our umpires.

RETURNING Level 1 or 2 UMPIRES

Log in to your OnDeck Profile at https://ondeck.baseballontario.com/

When updating your profile in ONDeck, select the role that is one level higher than your 2024 certification.

Examples:

A Level 1.1 umpire in 2024 would select the Level 1.2 role

A Level 1.2 umpire in 2024 would select the Level 2.1 role

A Level 2.1 umpire in 2024 would select the Level 2.2 role

A Level 2.2 umpire in 2024 would select the Level 2.3 role

A Level 2.3 umpire in 2024 would select the Level 3 role.  See information below for returning Level 3 umpires.

If you are uncertain of the certification role you should select, contact your local Umpire-in-Chief or email [email protected]

After updating your profile, you will then have access to the appropriate online Learning Modules for your level, and will be able to select a locally hosted Umpire Camp to attend in-person. Completion of both the online and in-person components is required for certification in 2025. Online Modules available soon.

TMBA umpires will need to attend an Umpire Camp but you don't see it listed yet in ONDeck (check under Walker-Homesites), please check back soon as we are currently accepting and processing local association camp requests and will add them to the system as they come in, or email [email protected] for more information.

Payment is made through your local association after having registered with Baseball Ontario.
