On June 25th, 2025, the Carling Shed was officially changed to reflect the dedication of a long time TMBA Volunteer, Tim Schweyer. Beyond Coaching, Tim has been the backbone of
TMBA’s field operations—tirelessly managing and maintaining the baseball fields
not only while his four sons played, but long after they moved on. His
continued commitment to the organization, even without a direct personal tie,
is a true testament to his character and love for the game and community. Tim’s
selflessness, leadership, and unwavering dedication make him more than
deserving of this dedication.
Tim is the go-to person for everything—equipment, field
setup, you name it. If it involved making baseball happen in Tecumseh, Tim was
already on it.
One constant has remained throughout the years—Tim Schweyer.
While coaches, players, board members, and even city staff may come and go, Tim
has consistently been the foundation that keeps everything running smoothly
behind the scenes.
Tim is nothing short of the guru when it comes to Tecumseh’s
baseball diamonds and equipment. He ensures the fields are always in top shape
and that everything is where it needs to be—often before anyone even realizes
it’s needed. Whether it’s organizing gear, troubleshooting field logistics, or
preparing for tournaments, the answer is always the same: Call Tim. That
phrase has become a mantra among coaches, players, and even Town of Tecumseh
employees—because we all know Tim will have the solution.
His dedication, reliability, and deep knowledge of our
baseball community make him not only an invaluable resource, but also a truly
deserving of this recognition of the “Schweyer’s Shed”.
Congratulations on behalf of the TMBA Board of Directors, and our Membership!
